Paris Hilton isn't news.

I don't know the show. I don't really understand american news apart from what I read on the daily show. But it does make me love the BBC more and more.

Some people say this is staged. Others not. But either way those guys come across like fucking jerks.

I do think they took it a little far, but I also disagree with you. I'm pretty sure, from the sound of it, that you haven't had to hear about Paris Hilton as much as we have. We here in the US are sick of it. She acts stupid, gets awarded a shorter sentence for doing something she's supposed to do (appear at court), whines her way out of jail, and then goes back with an even shorter sentence -all because she doesn't feel it's necessary for her to follow laws and rules like everyone else. Because she doesn't want to have to be responsible for anything.

The media has made way too big a deal out of her, and it gets tiring when you have to hear every detail of her arrogant and ignorant life. You are quite blessed for having the BBC, as perhaps you don't have to hear about stupid stuff all the time.

They were right, Paris should not have been the lead story (though, then, Iraq probably shouldn't have either).

I agree with the female presenter completely. Paris isn't news. I just felt the male presenters were really harsh on host - because she actually cared about news.

You're right we are very lucky to have the BBC here in the UK. But the media is still obsessed by the stupid girl.

And that's why I never watch the news. If I wanted to know that bloody much about those stupid celebrity retards, I'd stalk them. It's pathetic that the media is capitalizing on the world's obsession with celebrities. Wait... I take that back. It's pathetic that the world is obsessed with these celebrities to the extent that that moron Paris Hilton becomes the top story on a newscast. Ugh, it makes me so angry.

But great blog! :)
