The BPI are idiots.

BBC NEWS | Entertainment | Record companies win £41m damages: "British Phonographic Industry"

So CDWOW has to pay £41 million damages for importing cheap versions of Music CDs, paying import tax on them, and then selling them in UK.

So remember, whilst it's CORRECT for a corporation to manufacture goods in the cheapest country possible, it's WRONG for a paying customer to purchase goods from the cheapest country possible.

copyright law has been so warped and abused by companies, organizations, lobbyists and governments over the past 20 years it almost unbelievable. to think that copyright used to last just 14 years and now it lasts for 75 years after the artist dies, and even potentially even longer for companies! which lets face it might as well be forever as it's longer than most of the media forms it "protects" have existed for.

  3. Can I just say what a relief to find someone who actually knows what theyre talking about on the internet. You definitely know how to bring an issue to light and make it important. More people need to read this and understand this side of the story. I cant believe youre not more popular because you definitely have the gift.
